iPod Touch Cases
With the iPod Touch already here, we are going to do a review of the different types of case for the new PMP. Everyone who picks up a wonderful iPod Touch will be sure to look to a large line of accessories to fulfill their needs of protection for their device and to further its functionality. What better way to start protecting your new iPod Touch than to buy a new case.
Most cases can be divided into three categories, as follows:
Hard Cases: Hard Cases offer the most protection of any other type of case, as most of them have padding inside and can stand to be dropped a respectable distance without damage to your device. Obviously they are hard, usually a hard plastic, some of the nicer models are made of some sort of rigid metal.
Skin Cases: Skin cases offer less protection as they cover less of the device and because they are “Skin Tight” to the device. One advantage they do have is they are usually cheaper, and they come in a variety of colors for you to choose from.
Flip lid cases: These type of cases offer more protection than skin cases, but have easier device access than most hard cases due to the design that includes a flipping cover for the screen. Often they will also include a karabiner or a belt clip or some other means of attachment.
Top Pouches / Pocket Pouches Leather cases allowing the ease of slipping the iPod touch in and out.
